Friends ~
A friend of The Wildlife Center is a special thing.  Of course, we have LOTS of friends in the truest
sense of the word, but in this case, and for purposes of sharing our immense gratitude, a friend is an
individual or organization that contributes a minimum of $2500.00 in a single years time.  This money is
earmarked to help the individual animals on their journey back to the wild.  This money is specifically
used to help pay for vet bills (surgeries, medications and other things that are not donated), to help
purchase feed, including the ever important pound and pounds of formula used during baby season, to
improve housing and purchase additional needed items like bowls, water bottles and the many other
items that we need to help these animals be comfortable while they are in our care.  The monies brought
in from "Friends" is not used to construction, bills or other operation cost.  All but 10% goes directly to
the care of the animals.  10% of each "Friend" donation goes into a grant program which is, at the
beginning of each year just prior to baby season, available to ANY permitted Northeast Texas wildlife
rehabilitator.  Depending on the funds available, we hope to split this gift into several grants to help
individuals working in this field in Northeast Texas.
Since there is NO funding for this type of work, these grants will be incredibly helpful to those who are
working out of their own homes and trying to care for wildlife out of their own pockets.  If you read our
Mission Statement, you will note that one of our goals is to help support the infrastructure of wildlife
rehabilitation in our area, so whether a rehabber has been trained though us, or simply applied for and
received a grant to help them operate through an additional season, one way we are meeting this goal
by reaching out to existing permitted rehabilitators and offering them grants and opportunities to earn
additional funds by teaching their skills to new students and receiving a check to again, help support
their wildlife rehabilitation efforts.  Again, our main goal is to support the entire Northeast Texas
infrastructure to help support the overwhelming need to help in our area.
Donors ~
A Donor to the Wildlife Center is our lifeblood!  Daily, Weekly, monthly, and annual donations from
individuals and businesses, Monetary or material, each and every donation in this category goes
straight to the operations of this ranch and administration of the WREN Project education program.
Donations in this category is anything totalling $2500.00 or less annually.  Whether you choose
something from our
wish list, or set up an annual gift, Your donation is the lifeblood that keeps things
pumping around here.  Make your tax deductible donation today and help save thousands of lives
tomorrow.
Industry Sponsors ** ~
An Industry Sponsor acts as the arteries of WCCR.  Industry Sponsors are any business of organization willing to donate funds,
services, supplies, or materials in any amount over $10,000.00 which help the operations of the actual facility. (i.e. Building materials
for animal enclosures or bodies to build them, books for our library or shelving to hold them, a building to store supplies in, or the
foundation for it to sit on)  These sponsors are the ones who keep the center running.  For Example, Last year, Steve's Nursery, in
Greenville, Texas donated ALL of the plants for our "Critter Cuisine" garden helping us to lower our cost of feed by almost one half!
We planted watermelons, cantaloupes, and a variety of fruits, berries and grapes with their help and advice.  Of course, this year, we
will have to start over as most of those plants die over the winter and require re-planting.  Art Deck-O supplied wood, materials, and
man hours to help build new enclosures.  These types of sponsors are our lifeblood and SO desperately needed.  Please see our
WISH LIST for ideas about how industry sponsors can help.  100% of these donations go towards the operations of the ranch and
education program.
Partners **~
A partner is the fifth and most important section of our funding mechanism.  A "partner" is an individual, organization or business who
is willing to make an endowment, gift, set up a trust or sponsorship or other type of substantial donation of
One Million dollars or more
earmarked specifically to aid in
operation of this facility.  The donations in this section will cover staff salaries, overhead and operations
cost, growth of the center and continuing education
.  We cannot operate without the commitment of others who believe in our program
and support our efforts to change this industry and turn it into something that truly makes an environmental difference!  Partner funds
will also be the funding source to do effective
outreach education to wildlife agencies, law enforcement, and animals control officers.  It
is when we all begin thinking the same way that we become more effective and are able to save more lives.  Call ANY animal control
officer in any city, in any state, and ask them what their wildlife policies are and you will see why these outreach programs are
necessary.  There is nothing more important  to our success and our desire to turn rehabilitation into a profession than education,
understanding wildlife, it's place in our world, understanding the environmental change WE can make as individuals, and how we
effectively fit in.
The term "partner" is a bit of a misnomer.  We won't really ask anything further of you unless you choose to be further involved by
becoming a board member.  As a nonprofit organization, we obviously are not publicly bought or sold and we do not have "partners" in
the truest sense of the business term but we use the term "Partner, because it will be YOU, a part of the team, who is going to help
make this mammoth change.
As in some of the above explanations, a sum (10%) will be held back from any donation coming in from this section to be placed into a
separate account.  The earnings from this account will be offered annually as a grant to assist NEW rehabilitators who have completed
the Wildlife Center's Education program to get set up a little faster.  The monies will be earmarked for caging, supplies, and continued
education (like
IWRC & NWRA classes) as we firmly believe that there is no one correct way to rehabilitate an animal.  Each case is
different and we expect our students to be prepared for anything.  Obviously, the more "Partners" we have, the more effective we can
be.  It is our dream to some day become the FIRST
ACCREDITED international school dedicated to wildlife rehabilitation.

By working together, earning each other's respect, and sharing in the responsibility of developing a stronger infrastructure, we hope to
make Northeast Texas the PREMIER location to learn about wildlife rehabilitation and how to structure a successful rehabilitation
community.  Please help make the change TODAY!
Corporate Sponsors ** ~
A Sponsor of the Wildlife Center at Crosstimbers Ranch is an individual, business or organization that contributes a minimum of
$25,000.00 in a single years time and makes a multiple year commitment so that the center can plan and continue to operate in the
most effective manner*. The money donated by sponsors is earmarked specifically for grants for new students coming through our
program. Those grants in turn help to run our education program.  A $25,000.00 Sponsorship will allow for ten students annually to
complete the entire program and become an effective addition to the existing infrastructure of rehabilitators around the United States.
The students will not be limited to just Texas nor will the grants be offered to only those in the northeast Texas area unless specified.
We hope to have students from all over the world someday, and hope to make grants available from the day we open our doors.  The
reason that
Corporate Sponsors are SO important is that the desired rehabilitation student will be someone who is currently not
working and is available to work full time with these animals
. These "Desired" people often do not have saving that they can use on
training for a new job, nor the funds to start a new business. WCCR has developed this program so that those coming through and
completing both the BASIC and ADVANCED courses have the opportunity and resources to develop their own small businesses.  All
certified WCCR students may attend the Trainer certification program where they will learn to teach the BASIC course to others and
earn money to do so.  They will also qualify to apply for small start-up grants and may take part in our new student referral program.
We will be creating jobs, so not only is the Corporate sponsor responsible to helping wildlife, but also for supporting entrepreneurial
endeavors and creating new jobs in a shaky economy.

*Corporate Sponsors may make their multiple year donation at one time.  All funds under this heading are
earmarked to be used for Scholarships ONLY.  It may be more convenient for a corporation to make, for example,
a ten year commitment and make the donation up front.  Please, if this is the case, be sure to let us know that this
is SCHOLARSHIP money and not operations money.
